Aromatic Suggestions
True aromatherapy is based on the various properties of natural essential oils. Some in the list below are synthetic scents, but they can be useful in their own right.

Black Forest - This rich, distinctly European fragrance enhances ones' awareness. Combines well with cedar.
Cedar – This husky scent has deep grounding qualities. Improves focus and concentration. Harmonizing, fortifying, strengthening, purifying, inspiring, cleansing, good for meditation and prayer, and for immovable strength in times of crisis. To weather turbulent circumstances and make them in the end, productive. Helpful when dealing with feelings of uncertainty and fear. Confidence building. It balances, calms, promotes spirituality and courage, a base note. It's scent is woody. sweet, balsamic, slightly camphoraceous odor. Combines well with black forest, frankincense, Hawaiian cedar, sandalwood and/or lavender.
Chamomile - Calming, soothing & relaxing. A wonderful relaxant, gives patience, eases anxiety, relieves moodiness, tension, anger and fear. A clean scent that helps you fall asleep. It's scent is sweet, herbal, & fruity. Combines well with jasmine, lavender and/or rose.
China Rain - As soothing as it's name. Subtle and unique, great background for meditation.
Desert Sage – This spicy hay-like aroma is useful for lifting melancholy and cleansing energies. Great for relieving grief, depression, and quickening the senses. Has a sharp, camphorous, herbal smell. Blends well with lavender and/or patchouli.
Dragon’s Blood – Derived from the dried resin of the Dragon Palm, reputed to give good luck, protection, personal power, cleansing, and strengthening. Combines well with vanilla.
Egyptian Musk - This strong husky scent is one of the oldest man made fragrances in the world. Combines well with myrrh.
Frangipani - A flowery-sweet fragrance that strengthens the nervous systems and can reduce snoring.
Frank & Myrrh - A cherished Christmas fragrance perfect for nativity scenes and popular in churches. Frankincense draws upon the energy of the sun to create sacred space, consecrate objects, and stimulate positive vibrations, uplifting, spirituality cleansing, strengthening and relaxing. It's good for nervous tension, and stress relief. It is often used in meditation and ceremonies. The myrrh is an ancient incense for protection, healing, purification, to enhance spirituality, meditation, and prayer. It's particularly valuable for people who feel stuck emotionally or spiritually and want to move forward in their lives. Seems to lift feelings of weakness, apathy and lack of incentive and also has a cooling effect on heated emotions. With these two combined, this scent is warm, sweet, smoky, slightly musky, with a hint of camphor. Combines well with cedar, Egyptian musk, frankincense, lavender, musk, patchouli, sandalwood, and/or rose..
Gardenia – This bright flower fragrance helps maintain a youthful outlook. Great for winter baths.
Hawaiian Ginger - Warming effects to both body and mind. Known to be good for nervous tension and anxiety. It's scent is warm, spicy, & woody. Combines well with cedar.
Honeysuckle - Springtime in a stick. A burst of energy anytime. Instead of coffee in the morning! Burn for good health, luck, and psychic power or energy, prosperity weight loss.
Jasmine - Floral and relaxing, this unique scent will bring you wonderful dreams. It also helps with matters relating to love, emotionally warming, calming nerves, relieving stress, soothing & relaxing, with restoration of confidence and optimism. It is also thought that Jasmine helps women with postnatal depression. It's scent is floral and warm. Combines well with chamomile, rose, and/or sandalwood.
Lavender – Calming and relaxing. This popular aromatherapy scent is very popular. It helps balance mind & body, calms anxiety & stress, helpful for insomnia, and nervous tension. It's scent is floral, sweet, light woody undertones, and herbalaceous. Combines well with cedar, chamomile, desert sage, frank & myrrh, patchouli, and/or sandalwood.
Musk - This rugged fragrance is a real ego booster. Great for the libido, invigorates and motivates. Burn for courage and vitality, or to heighten sensual passion, sexual attraction, love. Combines well with frank & myrrh.
Nag Champa - This popular blend from the Champa Flower with deep spiritual value. Cools and calms, meditation.
Nillaberry - Blends the purity of vanilla with the tang of raspberry. Perfectly balanced and light. Combines well with raspberry, strawberry, and/or vanilla.
Patchouli - Diminishes depression, fights anxiety and nervous exhaustion. A true incense classic! Used in money and attraction spells, aphrodisiac, energy, relaxation, has a grounding and balancing effect on the emotions and banish lethargy, while sharpening the wits. It is also said to create an amorous atmosphere. It's scent is musky-sweet, strong spicy, smoky, woody, herbaceous smell. Its odor may be little too persistent for some people. Combines well with frankincense, lavender, myrrh, and/or desert sage.
Raspberry - This handpicked favorite is fresh off the farm. Fruity and refreshing, never overbearing or unruly. Combines well with nillaberry, strawberry, and/or vanilla.
Rose - Soothes the nerves, great for those afraid of letting go and afraid of new love. For love magick, to return calm energies into the home, harmonizes the mind, gives a feeling of well-being and happiness, helps a nervous mind, fights depression, grief, anger and fear, relieve emotional problems, boosts self esteem, aphrodisiac, strengthening, sensuous, relaxing. It's scent is warm tenacious odor, and deeply floral. Combines well with chamomile, frankincense, jasmine, and/or sandalwood.
Sandalwood - Helps make dreams more vivid. An all purpose scent used to heal and protect, harmonizing and calming, reduces tension, sensuous, warming, love, peace, meditation and prayer, sleep. Is ideal for use in depression, hectic daily lifestyles and states of fear, stress, nervous exhaustion, chronic illness and anxiety. Sandalwood trees are found in India and Indonesia and are burned as an offering in Buddhist temples. In India it is said to promote the awakening of kundalini. Sandalwood is used as an antidepressant and a mild sedative, as well as an aphrodisiac. The scent of this evergreen tree is warm, woody, sweet and exotic, subtle and lingering. Combines well with cedar, frankincense, jasmine, lavender, myrrh, and/or rose.
Spring Magnolia - Bring the fresh bouquet of Spring for early Autumn. Warms and relaxes as it burns.
Strawberry - Sweet innocence and luscious sin combine. Entice the spirit and release frustration. For love, luck and friendship. Combines well with nillaberry, raspberry, and/or strawberry.
Vanilla - An age old fragrance puts everything in perspective. Great if you work with your mind. Stimulates amorous appetites and enhance memory, love, energy, sex, sensuous. It's scent has a rich and sweet. Combines well with dragon's blood, nillaberry, raspberry, and/or strawberry.
