Robes Please click photograph and links to see larger photos. Our velvet robes are hand made with a fine triple Madonna velvet outer shell and a full satin lining. Each robe requires over 20 yards of material to make. The outer shell panels are cut from a single piece of velvet to ensure the nap and color is uniform throughout. The full hood is reinforced along the forward edge with horsehair braid for extra durability and to prevent the hood from flopping down over the wearer's face. Each robe is made to order and will be created according to the measurements you provide. Available in ten color combinations. Due to the nature of the dyeing process some color variation between lots of fabric can occur. However, we never mix lots on a cloak.
